What we checked
We searched each regulator’s own register for the legal entity behind Stake, then compared the licence number, status, dates and approved domains with what the operator publishes. Every licence below was checked on 25 October 2026.
Findings
- The licence was granted conditionally in June 2025. Leaked CGA records reported by Gambling Insider show the regulator asked Medium Rare to explain ownership links to Stake's publicly known founders.
- Separate local licences are declared for Brazil (SPA/MF 263), Colombia (Coljuegos C1751) and Peru (Mincetur). Those cover only their own country domains.
- Two consecutive six-month terms followed by an expired assessment status is a material flag. Affiliate links are switched off by default.
What this means if you play
What the operator or the register shows does not line up on at least one point. That does not prove wrongdoing, but you should not rely on the licence claim alone. Read the findings above and check the register yourself before depositing.
