CasinoVerificator checks licence claims against the regulator’s own register. We do not accept an operator’s footer, a validator seal or another review site as proof.
The process
- Identify the legal entity behind the brand from its terms and conditions.
- Find that entity on the regulator’s public register.
- Match the licence number, status, issue and expiry dates, licensed activities and approved domains.
- Check the regulator’s enforcement record and, where it is incomplete, enforcement publications and freedom-of-information releases.
- Record the source URL and the date of the check against every licence line.
Status labels
- Verified: the main licence matches the register and is current.
- Partially verified: at least one licence matches; others are pending.
- Discrepancy found: the register and the operator’s claims, or the register and other official records, disagree on a material point.
- Contested licence: the licensing authority’s legal standing is disputed.
- Not verified: no licence could be confirmed from a primary source.
Verification Score
The score (0 to 100) measures how much confidence the licence evidence supports. It is not a rating of games, bonuses or payout speed, which we have not tested. Weighting:
- Primary licence confirmed on the register: up to 40
- Strength of the regulator (Tier 1, national, offshore, contested): up to 30
- Consistency between register, operator claims and other official records: up to 15
- Enforcement history and how fully it is disclosed: up to 15
Re-checks
Every review shows the date of its last check. Offshore licences are re-checked monthly; Tier 1 licences quarterly or on any enforcement news.
